The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) is going to open a hotline at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) aiming to address the complaints of passengers.

Air-Vice Marshal M Mofidur Rahman, chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (Caab), made this announcement during a public hearing at the airport on Sunday afternoon.

He said that digital services might be launched at the airport by July. Servicemen will stand by and they will provide service round –the- clock, he added.

When asking about passengers’ harassment by intelligence members, the CAAB chairman said “We are monitoring everyone. For this, we are thinking of opening a control room."

“If anyone is found guilty, we will take action against the person whoever they are," he warned.

Departmental action has been taken against the two officials of the intelligence agency, who took money from the passengers recently, CAAB chairman informed.

He again warned of stern action against the perpetrators.

The chairman urged all the concerned to give the correct information to the passengers.
